A hand knitted very pretty hat. The yarn is a a soft luxurious blend of 75% wool and 25% nylon. stranded knitting adds an extra layer to knitting so nice and warm! The main yarn is a Variegated yarn in different shades of lilacs to deep violets. The contrast is cream. The hat starts with a neat 2x2 rib brim. The pattern itself is extremely pretty and traditional Norwegian style of diamonds inside teardrop shapes. The pattern develops into an eye catching star/ flower design at the crown of the head. The pattern is a stranded 'Norwegian' style. This Hat is designed to be a beanie style fitted hat. My mannequin head is 56cm (22”) Should fit an average head. Unstretched dimensions (bear in mind knitting stretches!) 46cm (18”) around 22cm (8.75”) From base of rib to top of crown This yarn is gentle machine wash.
